I don’t do pre-seeker friendly, seeker friendly, or pre-evangelism. “Choose you this day whom you shall serve.” Joshua 24:14 “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” Psalm 95:7
This might be your only chance to reach that lost soul--today.
I believe in being prepared in season and out of season to correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. Because I believe we are living in the time where many are not putting up with sound doctrine—let alone preaching it.
I’ve been charged to keep my head in all situations, endure hardships, and do the work of an evangelist discharging all the duties of my ministry. (See 2 Timothy 4:2-5) I will not back down.
God’s Holy Word was not written to approve of our sins or to pacify the sinner. It was given by God to convict, reprove, and lead us into surrender, repentance of sin, sanctification and holiness.
We live in a society that has rejected authority. They don’t seek accountability, but acceptance of even the vilest sin. Even those who sit in many of our churches are living their “best lives” having only a form of godliness.
Many are masquerading as Christians while their lives show no fruit of a true relationship with Jesus.
They reject holiness hoping to fit in with the world and to be accepted by the world. I would rather be rejected by this sinful world than rejected by the God of the universe! I won’t bow to the idols of this world. I’ve been taking careful inventory lately of my own life. I don’t want any idols no matter how small or seemingly innocent to have place in my life. Jesus has to have my all if I am to fulfill His call on my life.
Too many people just want a Cosmic Santa Claus to give them everything they ask for. They are not interested in carrying their cross and surrendering to Jesus as LORD and Savior. Salvation is free indeed, but it will cost you something to walk it out. True repentance results in changed lives and it fosters an atmosphere for revival! But how can there be repentance if people are only hearing seeker friendly messages of acceptance?
We are seeing revival fires break out here and there, just as we are currently witnessing at Asbury University. But I believe an even greater revival is coming. Greater than any this world has ever seen. Don’t look for it to be televised or shown on any mainstream media outlets unless they are condemning it. Satan will do his best to silence it because of the impact it will have on the lives of the lost.
From the very beginning of my call into ministry I have had this fire burning in my spirit for a great end times revival before Jesus comes. I truly believe I WILL SEE IT. God has given me too many dreams and visions of it, and I cannot wait! We are getting so close to Jesus’ return. Anyone who professes to be a Christian would have to be in a coma to not see the signs, sense it, and feel it.
Time is running out.
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
11Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.”
(2 Peter 3:10-12, 17 NIV)
We don’t have time to play seeker friendly games. We must be about God’s business. “He Get’s Us?” Let’s stop trying to convince a sinful world that God approves, and let them know they need a Savior, not a party buddy.
Let’s seek to save the lost instead of merely fitting in with them in a spineless attempt to coddle them into the Kingdom. That is not love. Love cares for the soul for eternity, not just the moment. Instead let us be willing to snatch them from the fires of punishment and eternal flame. God bless you all. I speak all this from a heart of love desiring the best for you in your walk with Jesus. I leave you at last with this passage:
Jude 1:3-25 NIV
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.
4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
5 Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.
7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.
They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. 8 In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings.
9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"
10 Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them.
11 Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; they have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion.12 These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead.
13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
16 These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.
18 They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.”
19 These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. 20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.
21 Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
22 Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
24 To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy--
25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
